Description

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, also known as Gaura, was considered a partial incarnation of Krishna and Radha in one body. The Lord took this form so He could experience the immense Love and devotion that Radha had for Krishna. Nityananda was His closest associate and, together, they spread the Sankirtan-Bhakti movement.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was always crying. He was crying in bhava for Krishna, the longing for Krishna. Crying doesn't mean that you are miserable, because the greatest joy itself is expressed as crying.

Did You Know?

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to Vrindavan 500 years ago to resurrect its sacred history. Due to 400 years of Islamic occupation many temples had been destroyed, deities discarded, and sacred sites lost in the dense forests. Because He was a divine incarnation, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was able to reveal the hidden deities and restore the places where Krishna enacted His lilas nearly 5000 years earlier.

What To Expect

We will celebrate Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Jayanti (Appearance Day) with an extended morning prayer service. In addition to special prayers, pujas and bhajans dedicated to Gaura-Nitai, we will do abhishekam on their murties in the temple. The morning Shrimad Bhagavatam satsang will also be dedicated to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His lilas.

What to wear

Multiply the Blessings

When we offer our love to the Divine, the Divine showers us with blessings. Giving from the heart is a true blessing in and of itself. Giving without expecting anything in return multiplies the blessings even more, especially when you selflessly sponsor an event. Everyone who helps sponsor the event benefits from all the prayers done, even when you are unable to attend!
