Krishna is Love Incarnate. Now, on His birthday, ask Him to be born inside of you. Ask Him to manifest Himself inside of you.

Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda

Come and celebrate with us one of the most auspicious nights of the whole year!

Krishna Janmashtami marks the celebration of the birth of Lord Sri Krishna. Sri Krishna was born in the 'Rohini' Nakshatram (star) to King Vasudeva and Devaki Devi on the eighth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Sravana.

Sri Krishna is considered as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu and as His most glorious incarnation. It is said that His true remembrance brings extreme joy and pleasure because Sri Krishna Himself was a manifestation of joy at all levels and in all walks of life. No other God is associated with so many romantic tales and so fully radiating with all the Divine attributes as Sri Krishna.

We will celebrate by singing songs depicting the life and early years of Sri Krishna leading up to midnight. At midnight on the 14h of August we will conduct abishekam to baby Krishna and finish around 1 o'clock in the morning on the 15th of August with arati.

Bhakti Marga has its headquarters at Shree Peetha Nilaya, meaning ‘Abode of the Maha Lakshmi’, the Divine Mother. It is located in the beautiful German countryside near Wiesbaden. Residents and guests come together every day to participate in special events, prayers, meditation, singing, seva, and to share their love of the Divine with one another.

In ancient times, yogis would receive Divine Inspiration through the connection to God in Nature. Shree Peetha Nilaya is such a place.
