Description

The aim of the bhakta is to attain the Grace of the Guru, Guru Kripa. With Guru Kripa one is elevated, and obtains all gifts, all accomplishments, all wealth, even liberation.

Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda

Join us for the auspicious day of Gurupurnima, as we venerate our Satguru, Paramahamsa Vishwananda.

Gurupurnima, the full moon day in the Hindu month of Ashad (July-August) is observed as the auspicious day sacred to the memory of the great sage Vyasa. All are indebted to this ancient saint who collected all the Vedic texts into the four Vedas, wrote the 18 Puranas, the Mahabharata and the Shreemad Bhagavatam.

All Gurus worldwide are honoured and paid homage on Guru Purnima. It is the Guru who makes God accessible to us, and so we take this day to venerate the form of the Guru and express our gratitude for His infinite grace and guidance.

In the morning of Day 1 we will offer an abhishekam, puja and yagna to Mahavatar Babaji, Sri Ramanuja Acharya and the other Gurus of our Parampara. Throughout the day, 108 bhajans are sung/offered to the Guru's Feet. In the evening, an abhishekam and puja is performed directly to the Feet of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda and each person has the opportunity to come up and make an offering. The night finishes with dancing and singing in honour of our beloved Gurudev!

Residents and guests come together every day to participate in special events, prayers, meditation, singing, seva, and to share their love of the Divine with one another.

Shree Peetha Nilaya - Bhakti Marga

In ancient times, yogis would receive Divine Inspiration through the connection to God in Nature. Shree Peetha Nilaya is such a place.
