The Greatest Bhakta

Hanuman is the greatest bhakta of Lord Rama. It is said that wherever the name 'Rama' is being chanted, Hanuman is there. Such is the devotion of Lord Hanuman, that whoever turns to Him is blessed with single-pointed devotion to the Supreme Lord. His only aim was and is always to serve His Master. Come join us and deepen your devotion by celebrating the birth and glories of Lord Hanuman.

Hanuman is immortal and He travels around the world, protecting, giving His blessing to Rama devotees, to whoever prays to Lord Rama.

Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda

What to Expect

To commemorate Lord Hanuman’s Appearance Day, we will do special prayers and pujas and sing the Hanuman Chalisas 11 times while doing abhishekam on our large outdoor Hanuman murti at the entrance gate to The Ashram.

Did you know?

Lord Hanuman is known as the monkey-god. An incarnation of Shiva Himself, He stands for power, strength and the ocean of knowledge. The embodiment of humility, He is ever the servant and is always at the feet of Lord Rama awaiting His command. When Lord Rama left the Earth He said, ‘Hanuman, I want you to live here eternally, to be present until I come in my last incarnation.’ Hanuman happily accepted without questioning and He is still alive today, ever chanting the name of Rama.

What to Wear

Hanuman Jayanti is a festive occasion and traditionally we dress in yellow, Hanuman’s favorite colour. Indian dress is encouraged, but not required. Women are asked to wear saris or ankle-length skirts; men are asked to wear kurtas and dhotis, or nice shirts and trousers. This event starts very early in the morning before daybreak, and since it is held outside, it is important to dress warmly and be prepared to be there for several hours.

You can sponsor the Hanuman Jayanti Prayers. 200€ covers all the costs for the event: flowers, prasad, puja items, etc., but you can be also part of the night with 50€, 100€, etc., too.
If you are interested, please contact Swami Anashuya (E-mail:anashuya [at] bm365.org or telegram +491783204820) and either make a payment via cash directly in an envelope or make a bank transfer titled "Hanuman Jayanti Sponsorship" and send it to the following account:
